Natalee has just completed her first year of medical school at NOSM University on the Sudbury campus and has previously earned an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree. This summer, she is joining the Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity, where she will contribute to the knowledge translation phase of a project examining how to build capacity for rural health research. Her work will culminate in the development and pilot implementation of educational sessions designed to strengthen research capacity among rural physicians.
Natalee has previously worked with the Rural Ontario Medical Program and is passionate about rural health, medical education, and leadership. She is excited to build on these interests through her research role this summer. She is also an active student member of the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) and volunteers as a mentor for rural high school students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. Outside of academics, Natalee enjoys camping, hiking, running, and trying every new restaurant she can find.
