Dr. Cameron is a Professor of Medical Education at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University (NOSMU) in Thunder Bay, Canada. Dr. Cameron’s research focuses on social justice pedagogies and practices that support transformation of local education and health systems. In addition to an active research program, Dr. Cameron is the Director of the Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity (formerly the Centre for Social Accountability), a multidisciplinary centre at NOSM U dedicated to the improvement of health and wellness in Northern Ontario. With regional, provincial, and national funding, Dr. Cameron’s work is interdisciplinary with broad of over 80 peer-reviewed publications, $9M funding; 160 conference presentations; and has worked with over 40 trainees.
