Ella is a medical student at NOSM University conducting research at the Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity, where she works with Dr. Erin Cameron to explore the relationship between sports participation and medical students’ well-being, professional skill development, and sense of community. Prior to medical school, Ella completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Biology at Laurentian University, where she pursued clinical research and developed a strong interest in evidence-based approaches to healthcare. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she combined her passion for physical activity and community service by volunteering at a local animal shelter, where she ran shelter dogs to help them burn off energy and increase their chances of adoption. In her spare time, Ella enjoys trail running and spending time outdoors with her two Irish Wolfhounds. She is passionate about fostering connections between health, wellness, and community.
