Cynthia is a Francophone from Northeastern Ontario and registered nurse who is currently studying medicine at NOSM University. She began working with the team after receiving a summer student research award from NOSM University in 2023 and was supervised by Dr. Erin Cameron. She supported knowledge translation and dissemination of the work of an international group advocating and leading progress to mandate, at the accreditation level, social accountability in medical education curricula. She also continues to support the launch of a campus-community engagement model, by engaging stakeholders and contributing to knowledge translation. Promoting equity through education, she also co-leads a workshop at the Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare Education (University Health Network/University of Toronto) about healthcare for the 2SLGBTQ+ community. She joins like-minded advocates, educators and scholars as a Research Affiliate.
