Asma Bilgasem is a first-year medical student at the University of Toronto (Class of 2028) with a strong interest in clinical research, health equity, and quality improvement. She completed a general science degree with a specialization in biology at Laurentian University, where she developed a passion for addressing systemic barriers in healthcare. Asma is especially interested in improving access and outcomes for underserved populations, and she looks forward to contributing to the work being done at the Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity. She hopes to combine her research experience and commitment to equity to help drive meaningful change in the communities that need it most.
