Alyssa Cicigoi is a Master of Nursing student in the Advanced Practice Specialization program at Lakehead University. She is completing her final practicum at the Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity, where she is supporting the International Social Accountability and Accreditation Steering Committee (ISAASC) global survey. Drawing on her background as a registered nurse with experience across various healthcare settings, Alyssa brings a passion for education, health systems innovation, and person-centered practice. Her work throughout this placement will focus on exploring how global accreditation processes in higher education can inform system-level change and support the delivery of high-quality care. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Alyssa volunteers with Camp Quality Northwestern Ontario, an organization close to her heart. She also enjoys spending time with loved ones, playing and watching sports, and planning her next travel adventure - travel tips are always welcome!
