I am Paul Grand’ Maison, a Family Medicine doctor, specialized in medical education. Emeritus and associate Professor, Université de Sherbrooke (Province of Quebec, Canada), I worked 40 years as a full-time professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. I contributed to the evolution and innovations in medical education locally, nationally and internationally. From 2001 to 2014, I headed the Sherbrooke WHO Collaborating Center on health sciences education and practice responsive to community needs.
Since year 2000, I have promoted Social Accountability in Sherbrooke, in Canada and worldwide. Since2016. I am a member of the Executive Committee of the RIFRESS (International Francophone Network for Social Accountability in Health). Since 2019, I am a member of the ISAATT and ISAASC Coordination Committee and act as co-coordinator of the Standard Setting Group since 2021. A member of the CACMS(Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools) from 1997 to 2005, I am a member of the CIDMEF (International Association of French-speaking Faculties of Medicine) Accreditation Committee since 2019 (president2021-2022). Since fall 2023, I chair the 2023-25 Accreditation Standards Revision Committee with a mandate to integrate Social Accountability in the revised standards. The global survey project completely fits my own interest.
